I also do repairs on traditional quilts, that is quilts that are made by hand and or machine made. Quilts wear out due to use or sometimes because the dog dragged it around and made a bed on it (true story. So don’t throw that keepsake away. I can’t of course make a perfect repair but I can generally make a reasonably good repair that can make your quilt eminently useable again. The image shown is of a traditional handmade ‘daisy’ quilt made about 90 years ago. It was in poor shape due to wear and rubbing. I made a new hexagon template and replaced most of the top with new hand cut and hand sewn pieces during the pandemic. The large yellow daisy has both new and original pieces. If you have a quilt you want to save, contact me.
